What is Orb (web desktop)?

Orb is a free and open source web desktop, which simulates a Windows-like desktop in a web browser. You can use it to access files on a server or a NAS in an easy and secure way.

Orb was created to have a user friendly web interface to access files on a server. You can also run it on a Raspberry Pi to access files on your NAS at home while, for example, at work. The explorer application is therefore the most important application. It also allows you to share files or directories with other people. File viewers for PDF, Word and Excel files, text files, images, videos and ZIP files make it all more user friendly. But this wouldn't be a hobby project if I didn't some fun stuff. So, there is of course minesweeper, a DOS and C64 emulator and last but not least, Wolfenstein 3D!
