What is Odoo?
Odoo, formerly known as OpenERP, is an open-source business application suite developed in Python under the AGPL license. It follows the Open Core software business model and serves a global user base of 2 million. The architecture includes a server, 260 core modules, and around 4000 community modules. This software integrates all business operations, eliminating the need for multiple software and reducing database synchronization costs. It covers enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, point of sale, website building, e-commerce, and project management. It also includes modules for billing, accounting, HR, warehouse, events, and manufacturing management. Additionally, it offers tools for purchase management, lead automation, surveys, mass mailing, recruitment, expenses, and fleet management.

Comments and Reviews
the enterprise version depending on configuration is more expensive than wolters kluwer a3asesor
I worked on an Odoo-based project for a few months. This is perhaps the single most confused, horrendous, badly implemented, barely documented code base I've ever seen - and I've seen a LOT. If it meets all of your needs right away, it might be worth considering, but if you have to modify any of the code, RUN. As soon as one thing changes in the code base, things break with no roadmap for fixing them.
Thanks for your review. Could you please be a bit more specific? For example, which version of the Odoo software were you using? Did you have a problem with ALL the code, or was it a problem with a specific PART of the code?
Only one application is free. For the rest You need to pay a high subscription fee
It sounds exactly like what we need for some stuff we're working on; much simpler than the cobbled together solution we have now.
The Accounting module was available in Odoo 10 CE for free, but taken away in Odoo 11 CE and moved to Odoo 11 EE behind a paywall. What else will they take away?
It's awesom, simple and yet powerful. Open source, cheap and coded in PYTHON!!!
My company recently went through 1 month of trying to use the hosted Odoo product. We are now on community and extremely happy to have made the move. The problems with our experience:
The worst part about Odoo online is that their customer service just doesn't seem to care.
The community edition is great. I imagine that Enterprise probably is too.
