Notes
OpenAudible has been totally free since version 2.0. We're now asking for a small license fee to use all of the features in OpenAudible 2.0. We understand "free" was a pretty awesome price. You can continue to use the 1.x releases, but version 1.x won't be upgraded and won't work with some new changes Audible has recently released.
The source code for version 1.1.8 is available for exploring, but contact us before attempting a pull request.

Comments and Reviews
This is absolutely perfect. Granted, it's written in Java. But it does exactly what you need, you can backup all your purchases completely DRM free.
Not "open" in any meaningful way, demo extremely limited, does not appear to be open source since version 1. License costs about $20 for 1 year of updates.
It is good. And my friend recommends its alternative DumpMedia Audible Converter. It is also good.
