What is nautilus-wipe?

Wipe is a function that overwrites the files data with random data and then deletes the new file. Recovery programs will be unable to get the real files data, as deleting is reversible most of the time.

Nautilus-wipe is an extension for GNOMEs Nautilus File Explorer (seen in Ubuntu, Fedora, Linux Tails and more), to add the "wipe file" option to the right-click menu.
