What is MyPhoneExplorer?
MyPhoneExplorer is a proprietary freeware desktop application allowing management of Android mobile phones.
MyPhoneExplorer can connect to a phone using either USB cable, Bluetooth or Infra-red connections. Once connected, address book entries and calendars can be synchronized between the phone and your computer. It also allows calls to be managed from within the application.

Amazing and very reliable app, better than KDE for Windows in my opinion. First, you can choose different connection modes: via USB, Wifi or Bluetooth. Second, you can call, write and send SMS directly from your PC (with delay if you want to) but you can't attach files to it (one star less). Third, it's possible to transfer several files at the same time (unlike KDE) and synchronize the agenda between your phone and your computer (vice versa). On the top of that, you can be informed about everything that happens on your phone. Notifications can pop up in Windows Notification Center or on desktop without disturb. The interface is a bit older than KDE but there are many more options and you don't need to wake up your phone to be connected. The most unfortunate thing is the support forum. The moderators are aggressive and know nothing about this software so you've got to found by yourself.
"USB cable, Bluetooth or Infra-red connections" - Wi-Fi? no, haven't heard of that.
What do you mean? It has all of them even fixed IP address and auto-detect function
MyPhoneExplorer is for Android phones –– is there any similar app for iPhones?

TouchCopy is a good backup and file management app for iPhones https://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/
I've been using MyPhoneExplorer since more than 12 years (with my Sony Ericsson phone) and then with android phones. very easy to use versatile complete remote (phone screen on pc through usb only) and many many features loaded. No ads and its completely free. Try it and you will never regret it.
Really good app for managing your android devices especially in managing contacts, messages, file,s and also an app definitely recommended app
MyPhoneExplorer can do everything, from syncing contacts, calendar, data, text messages, editing and sorting contacts, using the computer keyboard for the phone, ...
Damn easy to use-once linked with your PC syncing files is super easy and doesn't even need you to interact with your phone. Allows you to backup most of your phone's content.
The one issue I did notice is that it wouldn't connect to some phones for some reason. It just doesn't find them and then I have to end up using the IP address of the phone, but this becomes an issue if the IP address changes which means I have to re-enter the new IP address.
