What is MultiGlancer?
MultiGlancer is a minimalist and open-source tool I've developed to streamline the web development process. It allows developers to view their site on multiple web sizes simultaneously on a single screen. Born out of necessity while perfecting my landing page for ArcanePad.com, MultiGlancer has vastly improved my workflow, and I believe it can do the same for yours.
What sets MultiGlancer apart is its simplicity and ease of use. Tweaking and testing for responsiveness can be a click-heavy and time-consuming task. MultiGlancer eliminates the repetitive chore of resizing browser windows or clicking through device options in dev tools. With less than 100 lines of custom code, MultiGlancer is the epitome of simplicity, yet it’s built on a robust Quasar.js template, using Vue and Vite for a seamless and swift experience.
Self-hostable and user-friendly, MultiGlancer is a boon for developers working without a secondary monitor. You can easily serve it on your local LAN and transform your tablet into a versatile secondary screen, displaying multiple views simultaneously. This functionality has revolutionized my own setup, allowing real-time observation of various screen resolutions and eliminating the need for an additional monitor – a space-saving and cost-effective solution.
