MooseFS deals purely with storing files while OpenStack has a huge offerig in compute etc. Also the overhead to install MFS is not absolute vs Open stack

GlusterFS can not handle 200+ million files, but MooseFS can. GlusterFS has very poor performance with small files, and file/dir operations. GlusterFS can not handle replicas per directory inside FS. MooseFS can. And have so much other troubles with GlusterFS.
