What is meteo-insight.eu?

meteo-insight.eu offers two tools: the ICON Viewer lets you explore numerical weather prediction data from the German Weather Service (DWD) through interactive maps — no downloads or sign-up required. Choose from dozens of variables (temperature, wind, precipitation, CAPE, humidity, and more) across pressure levels, model levels, and single levels, for both the high-resolution ICON-D2 (2.1 km, Germany/Austria/Switzerland) and ICON-EU (7 km, all of Europe).

Climatch ranks 5,000+ European cities across 46 countries by how well their climate matches your preferences —temperature, sunshine hours, precipitation, wind, humidity, sea temperature, and more. Results include flight prices, driving distance to the nearest airport and beach, and interactive climograph charts. Based on ERA5 reanalysis data (1994–2025).
