What is Meshroom?
Meshroom is a free, open-source 3D Reconstruction Software based on the AliceVision Photogrammetric Computer Vision framework.
AliceVision is a Photogrammetric Computer Vision Framework which provides 3D Reconstruction and Camera Tracking algorithms. AliceVision comes up with strong software basis and state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms that can be tested, analyzed and reused. The project is a result of collaboration between academia and industry to provide cutting-edge algorithms with the robustness and the quality required for production usage.

First Free Open-source professionally developed tool for photogrammetry
The resulting mesh is quite dense using a default template (a bit too much sometimes as the points are quite noisy and you need to downsample it afterwards) and it can manage quite a few images.
Cannot use without CUDA however.
Requires CUDA, doesn't work on AMD GPUs
I love this program but there are a couple issues that make is very aggrevating to use sometimes. You cannot do multiple instances without the chance of the program freezing up and you'll not be able to recover where it left off (it will start where it stopped, but will not progress). The cache files are very cluttered and unorganized. And the performance is far from ideal. However, it's the best free alternative out there, and if you don't use it every single day of your natural life, you will find this software comes in handy.
