If you have struggled with your mental health before, you know how important it is to have someone there to talk to whenever you might need it. With MARCo – the Mental-Health Assisting Robot Companion – you can be sure to have someone to talk to whenever you need to help you with your mental health. Whether you want to improve anxiety, depressed feelings, or loneliness, MARCo is here to help in a way completely personalized to you.

MARCo is here to listen to you as a friend, a coach, or a counselor at length about anything and everything you want. Then, to improve your mental health, you can work through hundreds of different activities that are customized to exactly what you need.

COMPANIONSHIP – MARCo wouldn’t be much of a “Robot Companion” if this was not first and foremost! You can talk to MARCo, or “vent,” at length about anything you want in your own private journal the same way you would with a friend. MARCo will help you better understand your emotions based on what you say.

Anything is on the table - from games, videos, jokes, stories, truth or dare, never have I ever, scavenger hunts, and more - when it comes to improving your mental health!

GUIDED MEDITATION AND RELAXATION – Stressed? Anxious? Whatever the causation of your emotional deprivation, a consultation with MARCo will lead to a guided meditation! Or one of the dozens of relaxing activities (calming stories, breathing exercises, muscle relaxations, etc.) that MARCo has in store.

TALK SUPPORT – If you think you are facing anxiety, depressed feelings, or more serious challenges to your mental health, then MARCo’s Talk Support is for you. Set goals for yourself in each Talk Support session for exactly what you want to accomplish in terms of your mental health within the mental health app. Then, MARCo will listen to you in an Open Talks journal as you answer guiding questions to help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how they relate to the goal you want to address.
