What is M3 Bitlocker Loader?

With GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) now in full force, we have to make our drives being encrypted. Bitlocker is the truely secure encryption built-in Windows. Although Microsoft has not implemented Bitlocker client for macOS/Mac OS X, but M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac makes using BitLocker a seamless experiance in macOS & Mac OS X.

M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac requires:

  1. A healthy Bitlocker encrypted drive: If Bitlocker encrypted drive is corrupted, please try M3 Bitlocker Recovery to recover data from corrupted Bitlocker encrypted drive.

  2. Have the correct password or 48-digit recovery key: It will be used to unlock Bitlocker encrypted drive on Mac computer. If the password or recovery key is unknown or lost, M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac cannot break into your Bitlocker encrypted drive, please refer to: How to unlock Bitlocker encrypted drive without password or recovery key?

Unlock Bitlocker encrypted drive with the password and then copy files from Bitlocker encrypted drive to your Mac computer. Once you copy files out from Bitlocker encrypted drive, they will no longer be protected by BitLocker on your Mac computer.

Once you complete writing data to Bitlocker encrypted drive, Bitlocker will encrypt these files to prevent unauthorized access. To be able to read these new data, you will need to unlock Bitlocker encrypted drive with the password or 48-digit recovery key.

Mount Bitlocker encrypted drive as a regular drive with read-write or read-only mode, you can operate this mounted drive as same as Mac computer native drive: Write, edit, copy, move, delete files, etc.
