What is M#?

M# manages 90% of the code through automation and eliminates most human errors. It has been proven to result in better, safer, and more reliable code, at least 4X faster.

M# is a set of tools for rapid web application development. Unlike traditional RAD tools, M# is designed for mission-critical enterprise applications based on best-practices, rather than merely prototype/small apps.

Developing with M# is about 4X faster than typical development models. It is based on a domain-driven declarative model. Such artefacts are simple and quick to create declaratively. They are then transformed into standard ASP.NET MVC and C# source code by the M# generator.

The end result is simply a standard Asp.net application which can be maintained with or without M#. This makes it risk-free to adopt as it presents no "lock-in" or other business risks.

This website provides you with an architectural overview, as well as detailed examples and tutorials, to help you get started with your M# journey.

To begin, go through the items in the left hand side menu, starting from the top.

M# generates codes that is mainly in the C# programming language. Because the "sharp" suffix has been used by a number of other .NET languages, M# followed the same convention.M# uses its own IDE, which is a web-based application for creating ASP.Net WebForms and Visual Studio for Creating ASP.Net MVC projects. Inside the IDE, a user can type, select from suggestions (Intelli-sense), or use the mouse to define the entities or user interface modules.

Internally, M# IDE keeps this module definition as a JSON file. At the time of a build, it will generate C#, ascx, and ascx.cs files. From that moment, XML or M# is not necessary to render the module or to be installed on the machines that will serve the page.

New versions of M# are integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio.
