Various link preview options are quite unique. It is superior to the link preview that you see on Google Docs, for example.
I have used Linkz.ai on a few clients' projects. The installation is very easy. They do offer a WordPress plug-in which was useful for a couple of WP websites.

I've previously built something similar with Javascript & Embedly API for our content platform. At some point, we migrated to Linkz.ai, as the time spent on maintaining our custom implementation was too much. Quite happy with the product.

I've been using Linkz.ai for the last 8 months, and have been very impressed. I really like the article preview functionality, I do not know any alternatives.
Previously, with EmbedPress I used to manually create & update many embeds. Linkz.ai does it all automatically for me, I do not need to worry about updates either.
