What is Links?
Links is a text mode web browser, released under GPL. Links2 has the ability to display graphics.
Mikuláš Patocka started writing Links (text mode those days) in 1999. In 2000 Marting Pergel, Petr Kulhavý and Karel Kulhavý joined the project to add graphics and Javascript capabilities into Links together with Mikuláš Patocka. The program has been written mainly as a hobby and also as a school project.
Comments and Reviews
A bit painful to use (at the beginning), but at times when popups and ads on gui based browsers start driving you crazy, or it they get really slow, it is nice to just have a browser like this up your sleeve.
