What is Lightbits Data Platform?
Lightbits delivers a software-defined, high-performance data platform for any cloud. It’s built from the ground up to deliver SAN capabilities for any cloud–offering the most flexible, scalable, fastest, cost-efficient, and feature-rich block storage available–simplifying storage management and operations while simultaneously lowering cost.
For organizations that are migrating legacy storage-intensive applications to, or building cloud-native applications for, the public cloud, Lightbits provides the fastest cost-efficient block storage available on AWS or Azure today. Lightbits delivers scalable performance--up to 1M IOPS per volume and sub-millisecond latency--even under heavy load, making it ideal for storage-intensive database workloads in the cloud.
For organizations building their own private clouds and cloud services, Lightbits provides enterprise block storage built on standard infrastructure: NVMe flash devices and TCP/IP networks. It achieves performance levels 5-10 times higher than all-flash arrays at a fraction of the cost, and dramatically extends the life of NVMe flash media by up to 20 times.
Ideal for I/O-intensive database workloads (NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, etc.), analytics, and transactional workloads found in e-commerce, financial services, artificial intelligence (AI), and manufacturing.
