TBayAreaPat added Knowte as alternative to Flowkeeper- TBayAreaPat reviewed Knowte
No images. Tried 3.0 and 2.0 and I don't see the option to export like shown in the Screenshot. I don't see the export to .rtf option either. And I don't see .rtf pasting in. The note can export to proprietary format or .pdf if you are in the note and choose the share option. I'm on windows. Maybe it does more in Linux. I got to the Flowkeeper first, and the 2 programs have similarities. Knowte will let you move notes around, but it isn't drag-n-drop...

What is Knowte?
Knowte is a note taking application that allows you to quickly and easily write and organize your notes. What makes it especially useful, is the search feature. You remember you wrote something down but can’t find the note? Search for specific words, and Knowte will dynamically filter your list of notes to only show those containing those words.

There are 2 flavours of "Knowte"
SysReqs: Win-7/8.x/10 . . . . . . .NET Framework 4.6.1 or higher
Website and Prog UI is all very "pretty" BUT not practical. UI is absolute minimalist, btn controls only UI is all white, which would be OK on a phone but not on a desktop. Knowte is for Windows and Linux (desktops/pads) About 2 years ago CCleaner went all white ... it started an online riot The all white interface is very glary. no themes, the only customisation available are predefined colors for icons... or with significat IT experience custom colors are possible by hacking an XML file, via settings hardly any point considering the changes made are to icons only
Help and support: none except for Twitter and then only developers announcements on twitter since Jan-2018 Github "Issues" is buried, if you have a query/report a bug ( logging into Github requires an additional temp password, 1 hour limit ( Github could not deliver after 2 hours. So much for logging issues
Individual notes are displayed on a new window (all white) so flicking through notes is tedious if i dont know "exactly" what I am looking for ... a search is out !
Space hog: Main window occupies 41% of desktop (after drag resizing) Notes window occupies 24% of desktop ... 2 notes side by side fills desktop white space between lines is a monumental waste of space. Notebooks index, 2 lines of white space between titles
BUG: creating links in notes. Create link btn is not enabled until text is selected Link creation dumps all existing text into another note, to format the text as an URL Formatted link is 5 times the size of normal text discovered "dumped" text on another note, with the dynamic url !! Transititional URL note can be deleted
Parking "Knowte" is limited to TaskBar no hotkey activation (unless you DIY) , no config.tray icon
No good to me, not compact enough and too many clicks to use "Knowte" Tested with Win-7 PRO 64 bit on 15 inch and 23 inch monitors
