Free HTML5 WebRTC video chat. Up to 12 cameras per room. Ability to upgrade to get higher quality and more features. It's nice to not have to pay for basic functionality like a role management system. The developer responds to issues quickly and site moderators take care of reports swiftly. It's pretty easy to modify the site's looks with userscripts too.
Solid Tinychat alternative started by a former Tinychat user in mid-2017. Font colors, 12 cams, private pms, offline messaging, NSFW rooms and more. Over time the developer has added some robustness to the system, and it's finally ready for prime time.
However it loses 2 stars - 1 for not having video/audio on mobile working yet, and a second for being dependent on an external metrics script that my hosts file blocks. This script prevents all rooms from loading on my machine when the host file is active.
