Jolt

Jolt is the best! Right now! We only use Jolt for labels! But next year! We will use for scheduling as well!

Jolt has been very useful to our Family Fun Center business. It lets us create custom lists that employees can fill out so they are clear what management expects of them. Employees have separate logins, so if something is done incorrectly, management can see who needs to be talked to. Pictures can be required on lists so the quality of the job done can easily be checked. Employees can also optionally earn points for work done, allowing management to make a reward system.

If you are creative, you can get a lot of use out of the lists. We have lists for trainers to use when training new employees so that the process is more standardized, and we can see how far along a new recruit is on training. Managers fill out "end of shift" reports using a list that get sent to all other managers. We also use lists for write ups and incident reports.

Lists do have some limitations though. Fields have character limits, so in some situations you have to make several separate boxes to type in if more than a few sentences might have to be written when filling out the list. Typing itself can be a chore as well. I highly recommend getting keyboards that can connect with the tablets you use. There doesn't seen to be a folder system for lists, which makes it very cumbersome to find the list you need when you need to create a new instance of one. You can easily start typing the name and narrow it down, but some folders to organize lists would be nice.

All in all I'm glad we went with Jolt. It has definitely increased our productivity by helping us standardize and organize things.

There are still some things they are working on, but they are improving everyday. So far I love the app and its capabilities. I can do scheduling, time clock, announcements, and our daily lists all from the same app. It is a great time saver, and it basically acts as one big database for us. It has made employee accountability go up, and has made monitoring the employees and their tasks much easier. I would really recommend the app to anyone.

The Jolt Platform allows my entire team to seamlessly communicate and execute on many levels of our operation. The scheduling is easy to manage and provides great visibility into our labor performance. Building the checklists in Jolt has built in a higher level of accountability for every team member. Having the ability to check in at any time and see what tasks are done and what still needs to be completed make phone calls to the store more impactful and efficient. Jolt is a great tool that I would highly recommend to other restaurateurs.

Jolt is seriously awesome for date labeling in a restaurant. It has saved us countless hours filling out manual labels and cuts way down on errors. It's worth every penny.

Jolt has been awesome - best 2 things about it - sticker/label printing and easy to use checklist. I manage a busy fast paced restaurant and they both have saved time, mistakes, and money. Labels are much quicker and easier than hand written and the checklist help to organize the days tasks and increase productivity and preparedness.
