I like that it is cross-platform, has strong search from which you can create and work with lists of files (or any string). You can write simple groovy scripts to do whatever you want on a list of files, regex rename, delete, concat, list, zip, open, edit. With lists, you can add to, remove from, combine, delete one list from another. You can compare folders to see how list of files differ. Put groovy scripts in a folder and they can be called right from JFileProcessor menu.

What is JFileProcessor?

I created a new cross-platform file manager that I hope is easy to use. github com stant jfileprocessor

This is a pretty fast File Manager with strong Search and List features:

besides basics: Copy, Cut, Paste, Delete, New Folder,...

Search: file finder by Name (glob and regex), Dates, or Sizes. MinDepth, MaxDepth.

You can Open, Edit, Save list of files to a file.

Alt-Left, Alt-Right in Starting Folder: cycles thru previous search paths

has Bookmarks

Lets you save file lists to a "List Window" or a File. You can add or subtract 1 list window to/from another. Save the list window. Read in a list to a window (adds items to existing list).

Escape: closes windows

Shift-Escape: close main window

has key bindings for Mac as well.
