Raindrop.io vs Instapaper Comments
Raindrop is a great alternative to Instapaper, it has a clean UI, many customization features, and easy to use, all for free. It allows basic search for saved bookmarks, which Instapaper has weirdly disabled unless you pay them.
Raindrop is good for collecting bookmarks. If you want to create a queue of bookmarked articles to listen to text to speech on, that's where Instapaper outshines Raindrop. Raindrop's tagging experience is far better than Instapaper, however. Both are similar in the fact that if you capture a URL that already exists, it doesn't create a duplicate URL.

- Raindrop.io is Freemium and Proprietary
- Raindrop.io is Customizable and Privacy focused

Raindrop is a bookmark manager, Instapaper is a Read-It-Later service. Raindrop does extract article content, but it lacks a lot of reader features, specially on mobile. Similarly, Instapaper could be used as a bookmark collector, but it doesn't have the adequate features for this.
