Comment summary: Instagram is praised for its user interface, filters, and social networking features. However, users express concerns about the mandatory square photo format, increase in advertisements, and privacy issues, particularly after its acquisition by Facebook (Meta). Some consider it versatile and essential, while others criticize it for data tracking and a perceived decline in quality. Despite mixed opinions, it remains a widely used platform with a vast audience.

I love the UI, filters & sharing feature.. Instagram is also great as a visual social network, but it downsamples the pictures. Also instagram also only allows for square photos - but I kind of like that constraint :)

For for more advanced editing on your phone I will suggest having a look at Snapseed icon Snapseed

I know "everyone" has a mobile phone now. But, I don't. Twitter works without a mobile phone, Instagram requires one. So, for me, it does not work. I can't create an account. A small thing these days, but something worth noting.

Instagram is the go-to place for sharing photos, mainly because so many people use it. Sure, that makes it a bit tough to find those really great accounts to follow, but honestly, there’s just way more content here than anywhere else. If you’re feeling lost in all the options, check out articles like this one—they’ve done the hard work of rounding up some of the best accounts for you!

This is where privacy and a healthy attention span go to die. Avoid if you can. Ask those who you only have on there, to switch to a different messenger.

Facebook really caught my attention because it's such an amazing way to stay connected online and it's super easy to use. People post about their everyday moments, share fun clips and videos, and can build connections with others. I've got to say, this platform really speaks to me.

The dormant policy is just bunk!

The most used social network I know. It was heartbreaking to realize how much it waste someone's time. I do not wish to use it again, but I am afraid I'll have to. I can't escape it. What a scary time to live/leave

What is Instagram?

Instagram is a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your life with friends through a series of pictures. Snap a photo with your iPhone, choose a filter to transform the look and feel, send to Facebook, X/Twitter or Flickr – it’s all as easy as pie. It’s photo sharing, reinvented.
