InSaneScanner is a front end for SANE - Scanner Access Now Easy (see: http://www.sane-project.org). It allows scanning from flatbed scanner directly to your Android device. Once scanned, the image can be emailed or seen in Android graphics viewer and saved. SANE is a standard way to set up network scanning on Linux. You can use any inexpensive USB scanner supported by the SANE project. You can even scan over the Internet if your server is configured this way.
