incron Alternatives

incron is described as 'This program is an "inotify cron" system. It consists of a daemon and a table manipulator. You can use it a similar way as the regular cron. The difference is that the inotify cron handles filesystem events rather than time periods' and is an app in the os & utilities category. There are six alternatives to incron for Linux, Mac, Windows and FreeBSD. The best incron alternative is entr, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like incron are Anacron, mcron, fcron and fswatch.
