What is Micro Focus iFolder?
iFolder is a simple and secure storage solution that can increase your productivity by enabling you to back up, access and manage your personal files-from anywhere, at any time. Once you have installed iFolder, you simply save your files locally-as you have always done-and iFolder automatically updates the files on a network server and delivers them to the other machines you use.
iFolder is unique in that it lets you run your own central storage server / syncronizer. This means that instead of your files being centrally managed by a third party company out on the "cloud", you provide the storage and server yourself, essentially creating your own "cloud" storage.

http://ifolderhosting.com - They host private iFolder shares. No need to setup your own servers. iFolder "Novell" are the pioneers.
I have not yet tried this, but did some research: IFolder is a DIY (Do It Yourself) version of DropBox. You can sync files to multiple computers, and also access them via a web interface. Big difference is that you run it on your own server. Supported server is Suse, and there are instructions for Ubuntu out there too.
iFolder originates from a former for-pay product by Novell starting in 2001. It must have went under, and now has come back to be open sourced and re-supported by Novell under GPL open source licensing.
The documentation and support and following look to be a little lacking, but hey, it has 7 or 8 years of running history... maybe that means it has something going for it.
If you are a DIY'er with a linux server and lots of storage and want it to act more like dropbox, id say we should give this a try. I hope to.
