HVV.PL Geo & Maps information
What is HVV.PL Geo & Maps?
HVV.PL virtual servers are drop-in replacements for popular paid geolocation APIs. Rather than paying outside providers per request, the lightweight, pre-configured VMs can provide the same functionality at a fraction of the cost.
Since all the initial resource-intensive number-crunching is done beforehand, the fully configured, small-footprint VMs run services out of the box, all data included. VMs can be installed on-premise or on cloud.
Servers include:
- Map servers (based on Mapnik, Leaflet and other technologies)
- Routes and Directions servers (based on Graphhopper)
- Geocoding and Reverse Geocoding servers (based on Nominatim)
- Proxy servers (firewall, web server, nodejs server)
all running on VMs ready to be embedded into any VMware/ESXi, Virtualbox or Proxmox environment.

Comments and Reviews
Decent alternative for websites containing embedded maps. We used it for a job search site with relatively high traffic volume to replace Google API.
