What is Huawei Themes Tool Suite (hwtTool)?

Huawei Themes Tool Suite (hwtTool) is a piece of software for creating themes for EMUI 5 and 9. Basic themes are customizable straight inside the software, but more advanced customization require manual editing of the files.

The software has built-in syncing, however, it is possible to do it manually (in phones: /Huawei/Themes).

Notes:

  • On EMUI 9.1, even though the theme is properly edited, messenger and settings fail to apply changes, thus heavily limiting it's usage.
  • Certain settings are on wrong pages and affect areas not visible on current page.
