After looking a ton for a decent and affordable/freeware/open-source HL7 simulator, I finally came across this one which satisfies all my needs for testing HL7 messages in a server-client flow. It should be actively developed and it's based on Java, but it's good enough as it is. For windows search for 'Windows Setup x64' on the official website. This way you avoid downloading something else that needs JVM already installed on the machine. It will install its own environment. Cheers to the developer. Waiting for the developer to publish a way to donate!
