What is HackSource?

HackSource is a programming tutorial search engine. The site aggregates 17,937 books, videos and courses from 27 content providers like Udemy, Pluralsight, Treehouse and Codecademy. In addition to the bigger providers, tutorials are also sourced from smaller providers that tend to go deeper on specific topics. While there are certainly similarities to Hackr.io, the features unique to HackSource are:

Unified Search Search is available on both the subject & resource level. The typeahead interface displays results from both categories so you can quickly jump to the content of interest.

Subject Topics The site performs basic natural language processing on resource titles and descriptions to dynamically generate tags for each subject. For example, since the words “metaprogramming” and “sinatra” come up frequently in the 648 Ruby tutorials they are made available as topic filters.
