gscan2pdf is a simple yet powerful scanning application, one of the best scanning and OCR application I've used on Linux platform. Very reliable and solid, creates very clean, clear OCRed PDFs documents that are also small in size. I wished there was a mac version. I'm giving it 5 stars for being a fantastic no frail scanning and OCR application.
Simple, well done and powerful scanning app. difficult to find better alternative even on windows.
