An incredibly useful tool to have on the go, even if Google is harvesting your data from its use.
At fancy restaurants where the menu is in another language, Lens can translate the menu easily. Even better is that its OCR allows you to copy text in photos, useful for when I'm feeling lazy (which is often).
Lens is also good at object identification. I took a picture of a lizard species I didn't recognize and Lens identified it. I took a picture of a car make & model I've never seen before and it brought up search results for it. Depending on the photo, it may take a few attempts, but never more than one or two differently-angled shots from my experience.
To be fair, it is absolutly amazing and really nice what you can do with this App. However, it is absolutly creapy! Just think about the potential this App has. In theory I could take a picture of anyone on the street and Google would be able to tell me all about this person. We are moving fast in to a age of total survalance, but the power si not with a government but with a private company. I don't know what is better.. No thanks, I don't want to use this App!
