Comments about NumeRe as an Alternative to GnuPlot

- NumeRe is Free and Open Source
- NumeRe is Lightweight

NumeRe provides a similar (but not the same) syntax to plots and function definitions as GnuPlot. A similar powerful Levenberg-Marquart least squares is also available but the data management and data evaluation functionalities are far more elaborate than GnuPlot. We used GnuPlot in the past as well and we still suggest it as the goto alternative for plotting, if NumeRe is not available.
