What is Global-Chem?
Global-Chem is an open source governance platform by the people to validate chemicals inside of products. With the increase of unregulated products, it is up to the community to determine what is safe to use in our everyday lives. We organize all this data in the form of a large knowledge graph that is readable to the public.
For example, if the molecule infringes on other toxic effects that could be to the person (if an ingredient in a food is cancerous) or the environment (sunscreen can be damaging to coral reefs). This can be extended into lots of different industries from the clothing you wear, food you eat or cook with etc.
