What is GetGoogleBooks?

A modernized fork of GetGoogleBooks that downloads freely available Google Books preview pages and converts them to PDF format. This version includes significant improvements over the original: cross-platform CLI interface without Java dependencies, PIL/Pillow compatibility fixes for modern Python environments, Windows command-line length handling via temporary batch files, updated user-agent strings to avoid detection, and improved error handling. The tool respects Google's access restrictions and only downloads what's available in preview mode. Features both a new command-line interface (cli.py) and maintains backward compatibility with the original GUI version. Written in Python with support for Python 2.7 and 3.x.
