What is G/Technology?
Intergraph’s G/Technology is an integrated geospatial resource management (GRM) solution that allows engineering-based automation for the utility, energy, pipeline, water, and communications industries. It provides a much broader scope than traditional AM/FM/GIS applications, by supporting critical workflow processes for designing, analyzing, operating, and maintaining the assets that deliver services to customers.
G/Technology integrates geofacilities management with operational support and service-delivery applications, enabling these systems to cooperate seamlessly to manage a company’s planning, design, construction, operations, maintenance, and emergency response functions. Thus, companies can respond more quickly and efficiently to market opportunities and customer demands.
It consists on a configurable off-the-shelf (COTS) solution, allowing to define all the data model, workflows, symbology, engineering and validation rules - from simple to complex - without the need for programming. It also uses open standards (OpenGIS Consortium, OGC) for storing information, with no need to export/replicate data using proprietary software to access the asset information from third-party systems.
Due to its high-speed Dynamic Display Cache (DDC) technology, it provides rapid display and unmatched performance on client machines even with huge networks and thousands of simultaneous users accessing information in a centralized database.
Standard pre-configured models are also provided for all industries - Energy/Electric, Communications (fixed, mobile, fiber, SDH/FTTH/FTTx), Water, Sewage, Pipelines, Gas - with all the required functionality and rules ready to be used for rapid implementation.
