Needs more people
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel like this nonprofit dating app actually deserves the attention. I’ve tried a lot of dating apps, from the major ones to some of the lesser-known ones, and they all seem to have one thing in common: they’re more interested in taking your money than actually helping you find someone. Being free and nonprofit is a huge plus, but I wouldn’t be writing this if the best thing about Fynd was just that it’s free. Nope, the best part about Fynd is the search features. If you’re picky like me and know exactly what you’re looking for, this app actually has the best filters I’ve seen. Most apps let you set preferences but still show you people who don’t match them. With Fynd, you can set hard requirements that completely filter people out, and you can also set preferences so the people who match those show up first. The filters are pretty extensive; the most important ones to me are interests, ethnicity, politics, chronology, and MBTI. What’s also great is how the app matches you based on what you put in your bio. I’ve tested it myself: if you use certain keywords in your profile, people with those same keywords will appear higher in your matches. They mention this feature on the website, but honestly, they should promote it more because it’s a game changer.
There’s a ton of potential here, but I think getting more people to use the app is going to be the big challenge for them, since as someone in marketing, I know how expensive it is. But if enough people spread the word on social media, maybe we can finally escape the trap of the usual exploitative apps. So yeah, if you’re sick of the typical dating app BS, this is a way better alternative.
Filters are helpful, just need more users.
