The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service details some interesting information about your risks, but the Futura 28 health DNA test provides more! Our test has been designed to detect your predisposition to 28 common diseases. While we can't tell you about your ancestry, we are great at assessing these health risks and providing the insights needed to take preventative action.
8 Types of Cancer: At Futura Genetics, we analyze the raw data from your past 23andMe test. We include BRCA status for breast cancer risk. We test 8 additional SNPs on the ATM gene to define your risk more precisely.
We test for other types of cancer such as bladder, colorectal, gastric, lung and prostate cancer, basal cell carcinoma and melanoma.
Autoimmune Diseases: Futura Genetics can detect your risk of developing other autoimmune diseases including lupus, Graves’ disease, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.
Your Vision: The 23andMe test identifies your risk of age-related macular degeneration caused by mutations in the ARMS2 and CFH genes.
The Futura 28 health DNA test goes further and explores your risk of open-angle glaucoma and exfoliating glaucoma. With glaucoma one of the most common reasons for sight loss, this assessment is crucial.
Your Heart: Forty-six percent of men develop coronary heart disease during their lifetime, with genetics and lifestyle playing a substantial role in actual risk. With the Futura 28 health DNA test, you’ll uncover any underlying contributory genetic factors as well as being tested for a genetic predisposition to atrial fibrillation, peripheral vascular disease and intracranial aneurysm.
