What is Free HDD LED?
Free HDD LED shows hard and/or SSD disk drive activity in real time in the system tray area and on screen.
Very useful on PC, laptop or netbook which don't have it or it's not visible due to the position.
It also features a free disk space monitor.
Free HDD LED monitors all physical disk drives connected to the pc (ide / sata / usb).
Comments and Reviews
This software has "Free" in the name, and is referred to as "donationware", but it's actually nagware. Every so often, when you first run it, it will display a big, obnoxious donation request dialog, and that dialog has a 5-second countdown, to force you to stare at it and wait.
You can mitigate this by editing the INI file (i.e. by removing the "last run" setting -- I can't recall the exact setting name) and making the INI read-only, but I decided to remove the software completely instead.
The software seemed to work well, but I just can't stand games like that.
