From the GitHub repository: "?? This project has not had a release for ~2 years, and another release is not planned. Rather, this project will be archived by mid 2024 unless someone else takes over maintenance. This is because:The driving force for forking—to have a community run icon set—has not been realized. The site and font build processes are broken. The source icon files need to be reworked or remade. The project focuses on icon fonts, despite icon fonts as a technology being outdated. Many other free icon sets now exist."See https://github.com/ForkAwesome/Fork-Awesome

What is Fork Awesome?
Fork Awesome is now a community effort based on Font Awesome by Dave Gandy. We love Font Awesome but here's why we forked it into Fork Awesome 1.1.
One Font, 744 Icons In a single collection, Fork Awesome is a pictographic language of web-related actions.
No JavaScript Required Fewer compatibility concerns because Fork Awesome doesn't require JavaScript.
Infinite Scalability Scalable vector graphics means every icon looks awesome at any size.
Free, as in Speech Fork Awesome is completely free for commercial use. Check out the license.
CSS Control Easily style icon color, size, shadow, and anything that's possible with CSS.
Perfect on Retina Displays Fork Awesome icons are vectors, which mean they're gorgeous on high-resolution displays.
Plays Well with Others Originally designed for Bootstrap, Fork Awesome works great with all frameworks.
Desktop Friendly To use on the desktop or for a complete set of vectors, check out the cheatsheet.
Accessibility-minded Fork Awesome loves screen readers and helps make your icons accessible on the web.

Comments and Reviews
Use the CDN, or self-host. Works straight outta the box. No greedy freemium options. No crappy account sign-up required - unlike another icon library I could mention that was once easier to use. Grrr. ;-)
Fork Awesome has 744 icons compared to Font Awesome's 1,609, but I think a large majority of us will find everything we need here. Check 'em out https://forkaweso.me/Fork-Awesome/icons/
