What is Floss Cross?

This web-based cross stitch pattern maker is completely free and can be used without registering for an account. Copyright for patterns made using Floss Cross belongs solely to the pattern creator. You can create a pattern from a photo or start from scratch. You can store up to three patterns as a time (patterns are stored locally to your device and NOT in the cloud), but you can download the .JSON file for the project which allows you to upload it and work on it on another device, or simply to open up a design slot while keeping the ability to come back to your file if you store it elsewhere. Rendering is super fast, easy, and the controls are pretty easy to use (I like to use it on my iPad with my Apple pencil). You can save a PDF of the pattern, and you can also export as an .OXS file, which is readable in MacStitch / WinStitch.
