Super easy and quick tool for convert files to another format, can be made in bulk very fast!
Online only and subscription. Free is 10 files per month, paid is $5/month (as of 20200914). For security and efficiency, you should probably be using a local application on your computer, free or paid. Most of the good free stuff is command line. I was specifically looking at image conversion. ImageOptim is GUI for reducing file size but not resolution.

The makers did not even try to conceal their fraudulent reviews for this software, which you can uncover quite easily by examining them.
Filestar makes you download the software on your computer, just to require their servers to convert the files. And it takes a long time.
You might expect that because you are connecting to their servers it will be faster than a laptop. But it takes longer than local conversion.
There are two drawbacks here.
You have to download software, just to use it online.
It's not local, None of your data is private. These conversions don't take a large amount of processing power. Any modern laptop can easily do them.
Great tool for converting bulks of files! Really quick and intuitive to use!
Was the perfect tool for my use case where i had to do find/replace but in 100's of csv files. With filestar it was just as easy doing 250 files as it was doing 1. I Haven't tried too many of the other conversions (there is a lot) but I'm guessing i will use the image and pdf converters soon.
Easy to use and fast tool when looking to convert and manage files. Most formats are supported and I really appreciate the simplicity in the tool.
