FVIE - File version info editor is a portable app that allows you to modify the version resource information for EXE, DLL and SYS files.

It is set up to make changing file details as easy as possible. When run it brings up an extremely organized window with all fields clearly marked. You can either search for a file to change or drag n' drop it in. From there you can modify the company name, comment, file description, file version, product version/name, legal copyright and trademarks, internet and original file name, as well as special and private build details. You have the option to backup the file before editing takes place and new version resource creation which are controlled via a simple check. After keying in the desired fields, you can save the information to an INI file eliminating the need to re-enter the details. Click the Export to file button and choose the path and name of the INI file that will hold the data. And when you want to import the data, you simply hit Import, and the information in the INI file is automatically loaded directly into the corresponding fields.
