I like that it works simply: I just drag a file to the window and it get converted. You can set options for output rotation, size, image type, destination, etc. Some missing features:

  • Option to maintain output type: png to png, jpg to jpg, etc.
  • Option to maintain jpeg quality parameter
  • It's unclear that the dimensions are maximum dimensions in either direction. 1024x768 means that the height will not exceed 768 for both portrait and landscape photos, so portrait photos will be small. 1024x1024 is a good choice.
  • Option to save to a temporary folder and auto delete those files when the program closes. This would be great for email and easy to fix.

But all-in-all, this is the simplest solution that I found for emailing photos.
