FakeCam Virtual Camera information
What is FakeCam Virtual Camera?
FakeCam is a virtual camera application for Windows that lets you use any video or image file as a webcam feed. Once installed, FakeCam registers a virtual webcam device on your system that appears as a regular camera in any application.
Load an MP4, AVI, or WMV video and it will loop continuously as your webcam output. Alternatively, use a static image (JPG, PNG, BMP) to display a fixed picture. The virtual camera works with every application that accesses your webcam, including Telegram, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Discord, and OBS.
Key features:
- Virtual webcam device visible in all applications
- Video playback with loop support (MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV)
- Static image mode (JPG, PNG, BMP)
- Built-in preview with seek bar and time display
- Custom resolution support (from 640x480 to 4K)
- Stretch or fit mode to control aspect ratio
- Drag and drop file loading
- System tray integration for background operation
- Lightweight and portable (no installer required)
- No account, no signup, no internet connection needed
FakeCam runs entirely offline. All video and image processing happens locally on your computer. No data is ever uploaded or sent to any server.
