What is StartOS?
StartOS is a Linux-based operating system custom built for self-hosting open source software. StartOS has a range of features that allow anyone to run their own server software without needing all the traditionally required systems administration skills. Advanced dependency management, sensibly defaulted configuration with customization, and minimal reliance on the developers are just a few; all wrapped into a sleek GUI that anyone can operate. No command line required!
StartOS is open source and can be downloaded for free and compiled manually by an experienced developer. For a less technical user, the pre-compiled version can also be purchased from Start9. For the easiest experience, a physical server can be purchased from Start9 with StartOS pre-installed.

This is an amazing server OS! It is the first one I've seen that has the capability to download apps (they call them services) from third-party stores. Think F-Droid for home server world.
Amazing OS for privacy focused personal servers. They have their own hardware with tremendous support, or you can DIY build your own hardware. Great product for developing your own digital sovereignty.
