DS_Store Cleaner is a straightforward piece of software that enables you to easily remove .DS_Store files from the computer.

These are created by Mac OS X Finder when copying or moving files and folders to other operating systems, become visible in Windows, and are stubborn to eliminate.

The installation procedure is rapid and uneventful, and it does not require special attention from the user. Once it is done, you are greeted by a small window with a plain and simple layout, representing DS_Store Cleaner's interface.

In order to delete .DS_Store files, all you have to do is move them to the primary screen using the drag-and-drop support. It is possible to delete multiple items at the same time by pointing out an entire directory for the program to process. There are no other notable features provided by this tool.

DS_Store Cleaner has a good response time and carries out a task pretty quickly, while using low-to-moderate CPU and RAM. It does not put a strain on computer performance. Since it can be minimized to the system tray area, it does not interrupt normal user activity either.

No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the software application did not hang or crash. WE have not come across any kind of issues. All in all, DS_Store Cleaner serves its purpose and, thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, it can be handled by all types of users, even the ones with limited or no previous experience in computer software.
