Had a friend who needed her text messages for court. I tried using iMobie again, it's worked for me before, but it just couldn't deal with a large 2TB backup drive and a really big text message download. Gave up on it, tried other apps, but had too many problems to list here. The root of my problem was a too small drive in the macbook and a too big drive on the backup drive.
Finally, I tried this app and got it working pretty quickly. Kicked it off at night, had a big directory full of exported texts in the morning.
