CubicWeb is a semantic web application framework, licensed under the LGPL, that empowers developers to efficiently build model-driven web applications with a clean separation between the data and the user interfaces.
Its main features are:
- a data-model-first approach to application design and development,
- the power and flexibility of the Python programming language,
- the reliability of the PostgreSQL database for storage,
- a query language named RQL similar to W3C’s SPARQL that offers attribute-level security,
- libraries to write remote client apps in Python,
- libraries to write user interfaces in Js or Typescript and React,
- components that implement popular semantic web ontologies.
Built since 2000 from an R&D effort still continued, supporting 100,000s of daily visits at some production sites, CubicWeb is a proven end to end solution for semantic web application development that promotes quality, reusability and efficiency.
