I recently discovered CTFLab and I’m really impressed by the concept. Having isolated environments for challenges makes CTF events much easier to manage and much more stable for participants.

It’s a great solution for training, workshops, and competitions because everything can run in a controlled environment without worrying about infrastructure issues.

It’s definitely a feature that can significantly improve the overall CTF experience for both organizers and players.

The CTFLab feature is the real standout for me having isolated environments for training and challenges makes things so much smoother for everyone involved. Definitely seems like better bang for your buck compared to what I'm used to.

Hello, I tried the demo and it seems much more complete than CTFd, which I often use. The interface is clear and the platform looks very well designed for organizing CTF events and managing challenges.

I’m also very interested in the CTFLab feature, as it seems useful for providing isolated environments for challenges and training. It could make the experience much smoother for participants and easier for organizers to manage infrastructure.

What is CTFLAB?

CTFLAB is a French SaaS platform dedicated to hosting CTF (Capture The Flag) competitions. It allows organizers to design, deploy and manage their CTF events end-to-end, without having to manage any server infrastructure. Challenges can be imported with native Docker support or created directly on the platform.

On the creation side, the organizer defines the rules, duration and scoring system, then configures their challenges from a single interface. Docker support gives content creators total freedom by allowing them to import complex technical environments. It is also possible to configure a custom domain or use a CTFLAB subdomain.

Deployment is fully automated: in just a few minutes, the event goes from configuration to live, without any manual server management. The infrastructure runs on 100% French cloud servers, guaranteeing data sovereignty for both organizers and participants, making it a particularly suitable solution for public institutions and companies subject to regulatory obligations.

Each challenge instance is independently isolated through a sandbox architecture. Participants can interact with attack environments without risking compromising the global infrastructure or other players' sessions, ensuring the stability and security of the entire event.

From the dashboard, the organizer manages the entire event: registrations, team formation, real-time scoreboard, system logs, integrated chat and announcements. Analytics tools complete the package with global KPIs, per-challenge success rates, team progression curves and the ability to export raw data in CSV or JSON. The event follows four key steps: configure, launch, manage, then close with automatic generation of final rankings and event archiving.
