Features very complete emulation, digital tape formats (WAV, VOC, CSW, TZX and CDT), rasters, many video effects' and is an app. There are four alternatives to CPCE for Windows, Linux and Mac. The best CPCE alternative is Caprice32, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like CPCE are WinAPE, JavaCPC Desktop and CLK.
