Cisco Device Info (CDI) is a Windows application to retrieve runtime information from Cisco equipment such as routers and switches. This is achieved using the SNMP protocol. Cisco Device Information supports SNMP versions 1 through 3 and has been tested against a handful of different devices and IOS versions.

Where ever possible SNMP version 2 or 3 should be used due to increased performance.
